Your bike is delivered and awaiting your arrival at Daytona Beach. For those arriving by early afternoon, we will visit the largest Harley Davidson dealership in the world, Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley Davidson, to buy tee shirts and souvenirs. Reservations in Daytona Beach are at Destination Daytona Hotel.

After an early departure from Daytona Beach, our ride today takes us toward Orlando and scenic US Highway 441. We then make our way south to Lake Okeechobee and lunch at the Parrot Island Bar and Grill, a local favorite. Afterwards, we will make our way around Lake Okeechobee (Florida’s Inland Sea) and ride through Belle Glade, Florida, (sugar cane country) on the way to Florida City where we will spend the night. Reservations in Florida City are at the Ramada Inn.

After breakfast, we will saddle up and make our way to Everglades National Park where we visit an alligator farm and have an opportunity to take an unforgettable airboat ride through the Everglades. Leaving the Everglades, we continue on to Key West along the “Overseas Highway” making several stops at landmarks along the way including Robbie’s Marina and Hog Heaven for lunch. After lunch we continue our ride to Key West passing over some 43 bridges including the famous 7-mile bridge where the movie “True Lies” was filmed. Reservations for Key West are at the Best Western Ambassador. After check-in, we’ll head downtown where you can cruise Duvall Street, have dinner, shop, and visit places such as Hogs Breath, Sloppy Joes, and Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville.

Enjoy breakfast and then the morning meandering around Key West. Then saddle up for the ride to Long Pine Key for lunch at the famous “No Name Pub” where one-dollar bills literally cover the walls and ceilings, plus the food is always excellent. If we’re lucky, we’ll catch sight of a “Key Deer”. On the endangered list, Long Pine Key is the only place on earth where they exist. Returning to Key West, enjoy the sunset from Mallory Square and your second overnight in Key West.

This is your day to simply enjoy Key West. Don’t forget your camera. You’ll find lots to do and memories to make. The sights, sounds and ambience of Key West is definitely like no other place on earth.

After breakfast, we will leave Key West heading back to the mainland in route to Everglade City, Florida where we will overnight at the Captains Table Hotel. Today’s ride will be exciting as we travel east to west along Highway 41 which across the top of Everglades National Park and takes us through Big Cypress National Preserve. You will see an abundance of alligators basking in the sun along the roadside. Not that you would, but you shouldn’t be carrying a chicken in you pocket on today’s ride.

Today, we will make our way back to Daytona Beach. Along the way, our route takes us along back-roads and through small towns until we’re well north of the toll plazas. Then, the final leg of our 300+ mile ride will be a combination of I-95 and Highway A1A where you will experience evening ocean breezes off the Atlantic.
Since our tour ends tomorrow morning, a casual dinner, hosted by Ride America Tours, in appreciation for you and your fellow participants. The event is always filled with good fun and great fellowship.

Packing Recommendations For The Tour: When considering what to pack, make a list of everything you think you need, and then divide the list in half. After that, divide what’s left in half and you’ll have a list of items you might actually need. (Hint: You’ll not change outer garment every day on a cross-country motorcycle trip and washers and dryers are readily available.) So, for this Tour, we recommend one set of “Street Cloths” a pair of comfortable walking shoes, personal wear, toiletries, sun screen, chap-stick, riding gear including helmets, boots, eyewear, leathers, jackets, gloves, rain gear and both warm and cold weather apparel. Much of the route is at elevation so prepare for cold mornings and warm to hot afternoons. Dress in layers. Riding gear stowed inside saddlebags and tour packs may travel with your bike if secured.

Note: Prescription drugs, and other valuables such as jewelry, cash, cameras, etc. must remain in your possession at all times.
