Three Generations

It all started in 1999, when Gerald Carver purchased his first motorcycle. It was a brand new 1999 Road King. It didn’t really matter to Gerald that he had never ridden a motorcycle. All he knew, is that it had always been a lifelong dream and he was determined to make it happen. The purchase of that Road King started him on a journey that would infect two more generations with the desire to ride.

Gerald spent his whole career in the Industrial Gas Industry and retired in 2009. For the past 20 years Gerald and his wife of 55 + years, Dell, rode all over the United States and Canada. In fact, there not many places in the U.S. they have not been. It is the trips that Gerald and Dell have taken over the past twenty years that were the inspiration for Ride America. As they both look back over the latter part of their lives, it is the time on the bike that has created some of their best memories. It would not be long before Gerald’s oldest grandson, Chris Carver, began riding at the ripe old age of 17. Now 27, Chris has a passion for riding that has led him to obtain his Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach Certification. Chris loves to ride and is the company’s Chief Tour Guide.

About five years ago, Richard Carver, Gerald’s youngest son and Chris’ father, started riding. Richard was 45 years old when he went on his first motorcycle ride, and you guessed it, that same 1999 Road King was there for the maiden voyage. Ever since that first ride, Richard has been hooked on riding. When he is not working or being dad to his six children, you will find him on the open roads making memories. We are Ride America, three generations that all have a passion for riding and for making memories. Let us help you make memories that will last a lifetime.
